Pretending that our actions are useful

Human are being raised as the future is uncertain. And the uncertainty brings calm and peace to human.

What if human are being raised as livestock. One group will be raised until old to be milked. Another group is expected to die young to contribute as meat stock. And the select few will be raised to lead and manage the live stock themselves.

Once the secret on how to raise a human come to 100% certainty, none of the human would want to live anymore. A certain future is as scary as playing a simple game of coin tossing with coin that only has one side. You can only reach the predetermined future and nothing else.

While the future is certain in some way of thinking, but human brain will surely prefer to not recognize this. So they hide this down in some corners and pretend that our every action is to shape the future instead of moving towards a predetermined point in the future.

And this thinking is crucial so that the life is worth living. Imagine being a cow with the goal of just living and die to feed the greater species.
